MV Teacher’s Make A Wish

The Mt. Vernon Education Foundation wants to be a resource that can help you make a difference in the education of your students by connecting donors to your classroom. As a part of our Black and Gold Gala event on Saturday, April 23, 2022, we will be asking our guests if they would like to make a teacher’s wish come true through our “Wish Upon a Star” program. You may provide us with ONE wish list item, unfunded future need for use in the classroom. We will do our best to fund as many as possible through generous donations at the Gala and then listing the wishes on our event website  All wish requests must submit this form by no later than Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

MVEF will advise you when your wish is granted and who the donor is so you can send a note of appreciation. MVEF requests that with each granted wish that a photograph is provided of the item being utilized in the classroom. Please send the photographs to

Wish’s that have been approved and funded will be delivered to your classroom at the start of the MVCSC 22-23 school year. MVEF will send you a purchase order form that must be completed and received by June 1, 2022, in order for the items to be delivered to teachers by the start of the 22-23 school year. Any funds not expended by September 1, 2022, will be forfeited and returned to MVEF.

Please note that we are unable to accept requests for printers, gift cards, incentives/prizes, and food.  Also, if your wish list item requires maintenance to install or additional costs for implementation, you will need permission from your principal. ALL REQUESTS WILL BE REVIEWED BY  Dr. Shipley, Director of Curriculum, MVEF, and Mr. Rollo, Director of Technology if the wish is applicable.
