We’re excited to announce that MVEF is hiring an Executive Assistant to the Executive Director—a high-impact, detail-driven position that will play a vital role in advancing our mission of supporting Mt. Vernon Community Schools.

This role isn’t just about administrative support—it’s about being a strategic partner in the work of educational excellence, community connection, and organizational growth.


🔹 About the Role

The Executive Assistant will serve as the organizational right-hand to the Executive Director. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, values purpose-driven work, and understands the power of precision, preparation, and partnership.

Whether helping coordinate major donor outreach, preparing materials for board meetings, or juggling a busy calendar filled with impactful initiatives, you’ll be at the center of it all—making a difference behind the scenes.


đź’Ľ Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing schedules, meetings, communications, and travel logistics
  • Supporting donor engagement and stewardship efforts
  • Coordinating events, board meetings, and community partnerships
  • Aiding in the execution of grant projects and marketing initiatives
  • Assisting with general operations to ensure organizational efficiency

📌 Position Snapshot:

  • Location: Fortville, IN
  • Hours: 35 hours/week, hourly non-exempt role (includes occasional nights & weekends)
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly wage (based on experience)
  • Benefits: flexible scheduling and meaningful professional growth opportunities
    Note: This position does not currently include healthcare benefits.
