Serving with Heart: A Family Tradition of Service

Three years ago Phil Scrogham (husband of Gwen who retired from Mt. Vernon after 29 years of service) passed away.  At the time of his death, the Gwen & Phil Scrogham Criminal Justice Fund was created to honor Phil’s 33 years in law enforcement as an Indianapolis Police Officer.  Money from this fund was used for the newly created Criminal Justice Program at Mt. Vernon High School. It is Gwen’s wish to keep this fund going and she asks that you consider donating to this Fund keeping Phil’s memory alive.

Together, we can continue the Scrogham family’s tradition of service and education, ensuring that Phil’s passion for justice inspires the next generation.  Phil and Gwen’s Daughter and Son-In-Law both continue to follow in Phil’s footsteps of service as police officers.  Contribute today to make a difference and keep Phil’s memory alive, as we work towards fostering a brighter future for our community and its future criminal justice professionals.

Your tax-deductible donation will have a direct and meaningful impact on our students, providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive in their studies and future careers.
