Congratulations to Renee Oldham, Executive Director of the Mt. Vernon Education Foundation, for her significant achievement in becoming one of the first education foundation leaders in Indiana to receive the Certified Education Foundation Leader (CEFL) designation. This prestigious designation, awarded by the National Association of Education Foundations (NAEF), places Renee among an elite group of 98 professionals across the United States . Renee is further distinguished by her selection as the inaugural recipient of the Bill and Deborah Hoffman CEFL Scholarship. This scholarship, a testament to her dedication and skill, supported her in pursuing the comprehensive CEFL Certification Program.
The CEFL Certification Program, aligned with the Guiding Principles for Education Foundations, is a comprehensive program encompassing six key domains: Leadership & Planning, Marketing, Legal & Finance, Resource Development, Board Development, and Collaboration. The curriculum is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and skills in these critical areas, as informed by experts in the field.
Offered in a convenient online, asynchronous format, the program allows for self-paced learning with weekly deadlines. To enhance the learning experience, optional weekly Zoom check-ins are available, offering real-time interaction with instructors and fellow learners from across the country. Each course spans four weeks, allowing participants to complete the certification in approximately six months.
This accomplishment not only highlights Renee’s dedication to professional development but also reinforces the Mt. Vernon Education Foundation’s commitment to excellence in supporting public education. #TeamMVEF #WERMV.
