Dear Valued Industry Leader,
As the world stands at the precipice of numerous advancements and changes, our high school students face pivotal decisions about their futures. Many grapple with uncertainties regarding their career paths, seeking alignment between their skills, passions, and the rapidly evolving professional landscape. At the Mt. Vernon Education Foundation (MVEF), we view this as an opportunity to mold our students into the future workforce pipeline, priming them to drive our industries forward.
In collaboration with Mt. Vernon High School, we’re establishing platforms to inspire and guide these young minds. On Thursday, October 19th, we organized a panel discussion for our 9th-grade freshman class. This will be followed by the launch of our 2023-24 High School Career Exploration Program Series on Wednesday, October 25th, spotlighting the critical nature of post-high school education.
Our vision is clear: to mold these young minds into dynamic leaders for tomorrow’s industries. However, this aspiration requires the collective expertise of professionals like you. Hence, we’re inviting you to participate as a guest speaker, offering insights from your journey and enlightening our students about the vast professional horizons ahead.

Venue: MVHS Auditorium
Audience: 350+ eager students
Format: A panel discussion, followed by round table interactions
Time: 9 AM – 12 PM (Panelist Speaking: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM)

20 minutes allocated per Indiana Graduation Pathway. Each segment, led by 3-4 industry experts, will discuss career prerequisites:
- Arts, A/V Technology, and Communication
- Health Sciences AND Human Services
- STEM, Aviation, Welding
- Business Management and Administration
- Architecture and Construction
- Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security
