MVEF Pays For Student Certifications
We aspire to foster creativity and growth within our community, paving the way for a prosperous future. Our goal is to provide comprehensive support for students and adult learners alike. MVEF has introduced a program that covers certification fees, designed to aid students on their educational path. Specifically, this program benefits students who have completed workforce development courses in select fields via an Indiana Graduation Pathway. Through our partnership with MVEF, we guarantee that the expenses related to certification exams and obtaining certifications are covered.
Renee Oldham, Executive Director, emphasized our commitment to collaborative efforts in building a resilient future workforce. “Our primary objective is to equip our students with the skills and abilities needed to establish the most formidable pipeline for the future workforce in our county. By doing so, we aim to ensure that our community plays a vital role in shaping our identity and achieving economic independence for our students, stated Oldham.”
This financial assistance plays a crucial role in supporting all MVHS students regardless of if they have the means to afford these testing fees. It enables them to attain official certification in their chosen area of study. Additionally, this program benefits local businesses as well. By providing verification of students’ skills right from the beginning of their employment, we contribute to the growth and success of these businesses.
At present, the areas of study covered by our program include Health Science l, Health Science ll, Welding l, Welding ll, and Criminal Justice l. Since its inception in 20-21, MVEF has generously donated over $7000 towards this initiative, making a significant impact on the lives of our students and the development of our community.
