MVEF Purchases 20,000 Snacks to Support All Three MV Elementary Schools

The Mt. Vernon Education Foundation (MVEF) thru a grant from the United Way of Central Indiana purchased 20,000 individual snacks to support the regulation component of the Trauma Based Relational Intervention Program (TBRI) for all three Mt. Vernon Elementry Schools which includes; Mount Comfort Elementary, McCordsville Elementary, and Fortville Elementary School.

This marks the second year that MVEF has supported this program in our elementary schools. Special thanks to the MVCSC Maintenance Staff for delivering these to each elementary school this morning!

Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI uses Empowering Principles to address physical and environmental needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs and engagement, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors.
