Mt. Vernon Education Foundation Now Accepting Nominations for the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Awards

The Mt. Vernon Education Foundation is proud to announce that nominations are officially open for the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Awards. This annual recognition honors Mt. Vernon High School graduates whose lives reflect exceptional achievement, leadership, and service to their communities.

Each year, we celebrate alumni who exemplify the very best of what it means to be a Marauder — those who have gone on to make meaningful contributions in their professions, communities, and the world around them.

Nomination Criteria 2026 Distinguished Alumni Awa…

A nominee must:

• Be a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School for 10+ years prior to nomination
• Not nominate themselves
• Not be required to currently reside within the district

Nominators must submit:

• A narrative of up to two pages describing the nominee’s achievements
• Completed nomination form
• Any additional supporting materials (articles, awards, online links, etc.)

Why Nominate?

This is your opportunity to shine a light on a classmate, mentor, teacher, colleague, friend, or community leader whose story deserves to be told. Honorees will be recognized at:

• The Distinguished Alumni Luncheon on April 10, 2026
• The Mt. Vernon Education Gala on April 11, 2026

Nomination Deadline

All completed nomination packets must be submitted by:
January 10, 2026
